Pak Suzuki Shuts Down Motorcycle Production in Pakistan

The Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) announced on Friday that it would stop producing motorcycles for 12 days, citing a lack of inventory as the main justification.

According to a notice the PSMC submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, motorbike manufacturing will be shut down from March 20 to March 31 due to a lack of inventory (PSX).

Yet, the two-wheeler company was explicit that the auto facility will continue to operate.

Locally, the company assembles, produces, sells, and distributes Suzuki cars, pickup trucks, vans, 4x4s, motorcycles, and associated replacement parts. On the other hand, the Suzuki name is Japanese.

PSMC temporarily discontinued its auto plan last month.
