Sindh Govt Wants to Set Minimum Monthly Wage at Rs. 44,000
Given the nation's current inflationary condition, Saeed Ghani, the minister of labor and human resources for Sindh, has emphasized the necessity of a minimum monthly wage of Rs. 44,000 for employees.
Further changes are required since Sindh's minimum salary has already gone up from Rs. 17,500 to Rs. 25,000.
Out of the more than 600,000 members of the Sindh Workers' Social Security Institution (SESSI), Ghani claims that about 100,000 employees in the province have already received the Benazir Mazdoor Card (BMC).
He emphasized the need for mediation between employers, company owners, and employees to create a reasonable minimum wage agreement that would allow low-paid workers to sustain their families.
He went on to clarify that beginning in May of this year, the National Database and The remaining staff were due to receive BMCs from the Registration Authority (NADRA).
Ghani also commended SESSI for establishing medical clinics in eight districts throughout the province after the terrible floods the year before, where doctors gave more than 27,000 people free medical care and drugs.
